**About Ello Care**:
At Ello Care, we are passionate about fostering a supportive and empowering environment for both our participants and our team. Based in Wollongong, we specialise in providing expert NDIS services, Supported Independent Living (SIL), and personalised support for individuals with disabilities. Our niche expertise lies in delivering highly specialised and focused care to participants with psychosocial disabilities, where we take pride in making a meaningful and lasting impact. Our services include support within our unique independent living homes, available for SIL-funded participants and those requiring more than four hours of support daily. We also offer drop-in supports in participants’ homes, assistance in the community, and tailored programs designed to help individuals achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Serving communities from Helensburgh to Kiama, we are equally dedicated to supporting families and carers while cultivating a positive, inclusive, and growth-focused workplace for our team.
**Role Overview**:
Ello Care is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Coordinator to join our team in Wollongong. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in attracting, hiring, and retaining talented individuals who share our passion for making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Your focus will include talent acquisition, onboarding, and enhancing our employer brand, while also contributing to broader HR initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace culture.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- New hires of disability support workers and admin roles: Use platforms like SEEK and Indeed to proactively source, attract, and engage support workers with a passion for the NDIS sector.
- Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle—from drafting job descriptions and posting roles to screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and ensuring an accurate recruitment drive.
- Onboarding & Inductions: Design and implement a seamless onboarding experience to integrate new hires effectively, making sure they are fully equipped and confident in their roles.
- Employer Branding & Market Positioning: Develop and promote our employer brand, highlighting Ello Care's supportive and inclusive culture. Craft outreach messages and branding initiatives to attract top talent to our growing team.
- Process Optimisation: Continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with Ello Care's culture and growth objectives.
- Additional HR Support: Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures, support performance management, and contribute to employee development programmes as needed.
**Profile**:
- Relevant qualifications in HR or a related field (e.g., Cert IV or Diploma in HR).
- Experience in the NDIS, aged care, or healthcare sectors is ideal, with a strong understanding of sector-specific needs and challenges.
- Strong experience in recruitment, including full-cycle recruitment and sourcing for roles in NDIS, aged care, or healthcare.
- Strong skills in interpreting awards (e.g., SCHADS Award) and providing clarity on employment conditions and entitlements.
- Experience in developing policies and procedures for a small business, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Great problem-solving skills, with the ability to think independently and find solutions to HR and operational challenges.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues, leadership, and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.
- Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities or aged care needs and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
