**About the role**

The Operations Manager will assist Birdie Wealth in the management of finance and operations, and human resources management. Working directly with the Director, they will support the operational management of all departments within Birdie Wealth’s organisational structure.

**Duties and responsibilities of your job**
- Provide comprehensive administrative, strategic, and operational documentation. Research matters which include staff management, financial planning, facility management, and information services.
- Supervising data collection and analysis, and delivering regular reports to senior management.
- Creating and implementing procedures and guidelines for staff usage in the organisation.
- Leading, managing, and developing administrative staff to ensure smooth business operations and the provision of accurate and timely information.
- Analysing data, preparing reports and budgets to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating operational processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Identifying and implementing process changes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment of processes and policies.

**Key requirements**
- **Education**:A Bachelor's degree
- **Experience**:5 years experience in the mortgage broking industry, including 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role. A strong understanding of the Australian mortgage industry regulations, procedures and standards is also required.
- **Knowledge and skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, analytical skills, problem-solving skills and decision-making skills are essential for this role. The ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines is also important.
- **Regulatory requirements**: A thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements of the Australian mortgage broking industry is essential, including knowledge of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations.
- **Technical skills**: A good understanding of mortgage loan processing systems, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, and risk management principles is also required.
- **Management skills**: Experience in managing a team (10+), including recruitment, training, and performance management is essential. The ability to motivate and inspire team members, and drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction is also crucial.
- **Customer Relation Experience**: Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve business performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational effectiveness.
