We lead work to deliver more quality social housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW, empowering our tenants to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential in inclusive communities with a focus on breaking, rather than managing disadvantage.

We strive for excellence in service delivery and most importantly, Homes NSW puts people at the heart - including our staff. Working for us means you are joining a team where your expertise and skills will be valued.

The Fire Safety Maintenance team is responsible for managing and overseeing Specialised Fire Safety Maintenance program and contract management and providing expert fire safety advice and performance management on fire safety maintenance across the portfolio. The key activities involve management of contract performance, routine servicing, monitoring, reporting, and budgeting of specialised fire safety maintenance across Housing Portfolio properties, ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining high-quality standards through risk-based quality assurance.

The purpose of this role is to lead a team providing program management services across Specialised fire safety services program and provide technical advice and support to the regional teams in managing fire safety maintenance which directly contribute to better outcomes for service delivery, business processes and information services. This role may require statewide travel including overnight stay where necessary, for the purposes of onsite audits.

**What you’ll do**

As the Program Manager for Fire Safety Maintenance, you will lead a team tasked with designing, developing, managing, and reporting on strategic specialised fire safety services programs, and overseeing audit programs ensuring consistent high-quality outcomes through the implementation of project management methodologies.

Your responsibilities include overseeing the contract processes, contractors and program performance, including budget estimation and performance reporting, while engaging stakeholders to identify emerging issues and develop programs aligned with service delivery needs.

Utilising your expert understanding of internal policies and regulations, you'll ensure compliance, good practice, and fairness in contracting and service procurement. Additionally, you'll manage performance and reporting activities to monitor program deliverables and provide proactive, evidence-based advice and reports to senior management, including technical advice related to fire safety maintenance across the board.

Cultivating key internal and external stakeholder relationships, you'll facilitate effective communication and interface between program development, service design, and implementation.

Furthermore, you'll lead and drive team management, work planning, coaching, and professional development initiatives to align resources and deliver priorities effectively.

**What we’re looking for**
- Experience in managing staff, together with compliance experience or measurement of performance against standards.
- Demonstrated planning skills together with timetabling experience to meet performance targets.
- Project and resource management experience.
- Current Driver’s License
