**The Role**
Air Defence Systems Branch is seeking to fill an ongoing APS6 International Engagement Support Officer position. The role will be part of a collaborative team and provide support to projects. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, strong organisational and record-keeping skills and a responsive approach to dealing with complex enquiries.

The role will include all aspects of export control management, the focus will be on establishing FMS case arrangements and managing the release of controlled information to authorised recipients. The role requires attention to detail, excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, and a proactive, outcome-focused attitude.

**About our Team**
Air Defence Systems Branch is engaging in the delivery of series of projects an as part of Defence’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) capability program.

Two key projects this role will support include:

- AIR6500 PHASE 1 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) will provide command and control systems, and communications systems that interface with air, maritime and land systems.
- AIR6502 PHASE 1 Medium Range Ground Based Air Defence (MGRBAD) will provide air defence effect capable of providing force protection.

Now is an exciting time to join the ADS Branch as these projects will consolidate and transform the ADF’s individual air Defence capabilities into a persistent, layered, scalable, integrated and allied-interoperable air and missile Defence architecture over the next two decades and beyond.

We are seeking someone who has sound experience in international engagement coordination and processes particularly in early phases of the capability life cycle. A proven ability to interpret and adapt policy/process as well as the ability to provide support and advice to senior leaders is imperative.

They are able to respectfully challenge conventional views to facilitate and enable the development of strategic, agile and evidence-based solutions. Your typical day will vary from analysing information, briefing senior leaders and collaborating with stakeholders in order to optimise international engagement opportunities for Air Defence Systems Branch.

You will bring energy and integrity to the role and contribute to a culture that promotes a shared sense of purpose, whilst encouraging your team to make an effective contribution towards high impact outputs. Strong strategic thinking, communication, planning and relationship building skills are essential to roles at this level.
