**Position Summary**
Glower is seeking an outgoing and motivated Business Development Officer to be the face of our brand across community networks, sporting organisations, local businesses, and events. This role combines on-the-ground outreach with digital marketing collaboration to increase awareness, engagement, and trust in Glower's services.
You’ll attend community events, form partnerships with local organisations, and help drive our content and influencer strategy in the sustainability space.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Community & Business Engagement
- Represent Glower at:
- Sporting clubs
- Community associations
- Local councils
- Local businesses
- Markets
- Events & conferences
- Promote Glower’s mission, services, and benefits to both consumers and potential partners.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with key local organisations and leaders.
- Coordinate and set up event activations, info booths, and speaking opportunities.
**Influencer & Partnership Outreach**
- Identify and engage with influencers, thought leaders, and content creators in the energy, sustainability, and green living space.
- Negotiate and manage partnerships with influencers to amplify Glower’s brand online.
- Monitor influencer performance and community reach.
**Marketing & Content Collaboration**
- Work with the marketing team to:
- Co-develop blog topics and write or contribute to posts.
- Create and publish engaging content across social media platforms.
- Support digital campaigns with community insights and testimonials.
- Provide ideas and feedback to help shape Glower’s overall marketing and brand direction.
**Key Selection Criteria**
- 2+ years’ experience in business development, community engagement, or marketing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a flair for public engagement.
- Experience working with grassroots organisations, local government, or event coordination.
- Social media savvy, with a good understanding of content trends and engagement strategies.
- A strong interest in sustainability, renewable energy, or community-based solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours including some weekends.
**Desirable Attributes**
- Experience working with influencers or in influencer marketing.
- Background in the energy, sustainability, or environmental sectors.
- Content writing or digital marketing experience.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, social media schedulers, or CMS platforms.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
