**The Opportunity**:
The Legal Operations and Product team is seeking a Document Automation and Knowledge Manager to manage legal knowledge, resources, and legal automation tools.

LegalVision uses system, process and technology to deliver legal services to its member base at affordable prices.

The Document Automation and Knowledge Manager will be responsible for reviewing and updating LegalVision’s extensive suite of precedents. This will involve legal research to understand the requirements of the precedents, drafting the precedents, and reviewing and updating the precedents based on feedback from lawyers or updates in the law. You will also be tasked with maintaining our template communications, and other legal resources, as well as identifying opportunities to develop new resources.

You’ll work closely with the practice group leaders in developing and updating resources, as well as the tech team when automating resources. You’ll be working with an international team across Australia, the UK and New Zealand.

This role would suit a junior to mid-level general commercial lawyer or career paralegal in a commercial law environment looking to develop their skills in legal automation and/or knowledge management. Demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents, using precedents as a paralegal or lawyer, and/or developing precedents is required.

**Responsibilities**
***:

- Reviewing and updating precedents and legal knowledge to reflect changes to law.
- Uploading precedents into a custom-built Document Automation platform, and designing the lawyer-facing interface for each precedent.
- Identifying opportunities for increased automation in high-use precedents based on data, and implementing advanced automation to selected precedents.
- Working with the legal team to develop new resources (precedents, cheat sheets, template communications).
- Collaborating with the tech team on ways to use custom-built software platforms to streamline the process of drafting legal documents.

**Qualities**:

- Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Word is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal documents and legal concepts, or formal legal or paralegal training in a private practice commercial law environment.
- No specific experience with tech is required, however it is important that you can pick up new software fast and thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
