The Local Council is seeking an experienced Claims Consultant.

**Your new company**

It is a large public sector organisation with offices in the Brisbane CBD.

**Your new role**

As a Claims Officer, you will manage a variety of workers’ compensation claims with varying levels of complexity from registration to resolution. You will ensure best practice and compliance with legislation and standards imposed by the Workers’ Compensation Regulator. You will liaise with all relevant parties in connection with the claims including the worker, work area, the rehabilitation team, and external medical providers.

You will be agile in your service delivery to customers, ensuring understanding, transparency and sensitivity is maintained. Your ability to effectively consult, educate and negotiate throughout the claims process will enable continual development of Zero Harm strategies, early and sustainable return to work, maintenance of rehabilitation outcomes and a high standard of claims management.

You will be working with a small, tight-knit, collaborative and supportive WorkCover team, whilst regularly connecting with other departments to build positive relationships and contribute to the organisation's vision. This department is one of the Organisational Wellness Safety & Health teams that support workers holistically.
