**About the role**
Your role can be summarised by ‘you do what is needed for the team to succeed’. You will be responsible for supporting your reports to become awesome Xeros. You’ll work with Product Owners & Designers to make sure your team has a set of clear goals and responsibilities, and that any blockers for delivery are cleared in a timely fashion.
You’ll also work with your Development Manager and fellow Team Leads to drive cross-pod initiatives to enable the success of the group as a whole. Although you won't have any hands on coding responsibilities, you will provide the team coaching and mentoring drawing on your background in Engineering Management.
**About the team**
The SBPE Mobile team create beautiful native mobile experiences that help small business owners succeed.
This role will be across one of our 6 Mobile pods. You'll be leading a cross functional mobile development team of primarily iOS and Android engineers. We have some big challenges on the horizon, the team is filled with passionate and collaborative individuals who are delivering great outcomes, and excited for what the future will bring.
You'll be be responsible for ensuring the health, capability and delivery of the team. You’ll be ensuring that every engineer in the team feels included, has room for growth and finds purpose in the work that they do
**What you'll bring with you**:
- People-leadership experience in a similar environment to Xero
- Natural affinity towards mobile product development (previous experience of leading mobile teams would be a big plus)
- Understanding of modern software & product delivery practices
- Experience with Agile practices
