Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Risk Officer on a non-ongoing basis for a 6 month.

**Position Overview**

**About the Role**:

- Providing advice, support and guidance on risk management to stakeholders, including business risk identification, assessment and mitigation advice, risk workshop facilitation, and assistance in the preparation, implementation and review of Risk Management Plans
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the suite of ABF operational risk management framework documentation, including all guidance materials, tools and templates
- Reviewing the identified ABF operational risks and providing advice on adherence with the ABF operational risk management framework
- Working with the ABF control owners to assist in the development of performance measures and control performance reports
- Developing communication products to raise awareness of the ABF operational risk management processes and the availability of tools to support internal stakeholders
- Identifying risks and issues to support ABF operational areas to respond proactively and constructively to findings and recommendations. Ensure statutory timeframes are met in providing input and access to information as required
- Contributing to the preparation of reports on risk management activities to ABF Risk and Assurance Working Group (RAWG), ABF Management Committee, Risk Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, Enterprise Committee, other governance committees and internal or external audit bodies as required
- Provide Secretariat assistance for the ABF RAWG

**Required Skills**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound organisational, negotiation and coordination skills
- Ability to produce documents that require mínimal or no revision before finalisation
- Understanding of ABF operations and quality assurance processes, or the ability to acquire the knowledge
