**The Role**
The Quality Assurance and Risk Management Branch ensures job seekers, employers and the department are receiving value for money services through data analysis and review of claims and payments data, investigating fraud and sharp practice, targeted assurance activities and identifying risks and mitigations. The Branch engages often with the Service Delivery Network to support them in their day-to-day contract management of service providers, as well as supporting program areas with their planning and delivering of line area assurance activities.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Risk Management, Incidents, Insurance Team, the APS5 Risk Management Officer responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the management and oversight of employment services risk events, which may include - providing advice/liaising with key internal and external stakeholders on various issues, reviewing allegations, maintaining systems records and reporting tools, investigating risks, preparing reporting for the senior executive.
- Working closely with provider leads and state network delivery officers to investigate issues arising from tip-offs or data analysis.
- Undertaking secretariat functions for the employment services risk oversight monitoring (esrom) committee.
- Review and analysis of employment services related data and information against policies to identify compliance or sharp practice.
