**THE ROLE**
The Head of Customer and Contractor Field Ops is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations, of multi-disciplinary field teams within the Origin Zero Shared Services group.
The field operations team is responsible for ensuring:
- The selection, onboarding and contractor management of contractors, such as electrical and plumbing as required to support Origin Zero activities.
- Responsible for implementation of HSE and quality assurance systems, processes, audit activities and associated reporting of our contractor base to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, legislation, codes of practice and Origin directives.
- Contractors under management will be engaged to perform Installation and maintenance activities, primarily in the field of electrical and plumbing, but may include other fields as deemed necessary.
- Monitoring of contractor licensing, Industry training and Inductions.
This role will also be responsible for:
- Lead a team of technical, trade and administration staff across Australia
- Ensure as a team Origin maintains suitably qualified and trained technical nominees in the field of electrical and gas fitting as required by state regulators
- Establishment and maintain a continuous improvement program across Contractor HSE and QA assurance activity and processes
- Financial and Technical analysis of plant performance for all of Origin Water’s hot water plants across Australia.
- Implementation of the Plant maintenance program and ensure the maintenance program is undertaken to the standard, timing and budget required
- Source appropriate HW plant maintenance capability, in conjunction with the CES Solutions Sales Managers
- Relationship management with field contractors
- Provide/resource input where required into the technical design and specification of equipement
- Ensure plant commissioning is completed and legal handover occurs
- Flexibly & soundly respond to challenges within the business environment
- Ensure our systems and installation standards meet all relevant statutory requirements.
- Ensure the business achieves optimal plant performance thus ensuring maximum product quality for the cost
- Report against performance
- Establish effective and mutually well-regarded relationships with interfacing teams particularly the installation and maintenance contractors.
- Support the operating of the business within the framework of goals, brand values & interdependencies of Origin overall
- Maintain the health & safety of the team, contractors, customers and the community
- Develop and implement strategy to manage controlled assets
**IS THIS YOU?**
You will have:
- Background in Electrical, Plumbing/Gas Fitting or similar related field
- 10 years industry experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated clear knowledge of risk based strategy practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of the design, installation and maintenance practices
- Demonstrated experience in the solar industry
- Ability to conduct negotiations with all relevant stakeholders
- Competence and experience in project management
- Sound knowledge, experience of, focus on and commitment to safe working principles, procedures and methods
- Ability to resolve complex issues under pressure
- Ability to make key decisions that impact budgets and performance whilst considering impact on safety and compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter and work responsibly and autonomously
- Sound computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
