Our organisation

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a charitable organisation set up to help seriously ill children and their families. RMH Westmead is one of the eleven Ronald McDonald House Chapters across Australia providing Programs for seriously ill children and their families with our Ronald McDonald House being the more prominently known.

RMH Westmead has a 60 room House Program as well as a Family Room.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Mission Experience Manager, this role involves:

- Ensuring multiple kitchens are effectively maintained in line with preventative maintenance and cleaning plans
- Assisting with the food preparation and cleanliness of the Volunteer kitchen for the program delivering meals to our families
- Receiving and packing of House deliveries
- Maintaining the Main Storeroom including stock rotation, stocktake and cleanliness.
- Maintaining the par levels in the Family Kitchen pantry
- Ensuring house 'facilities' are kept clean and tidy in conjunction with Housekeepers and relevant staff and volunteers, as required
- Assist reception/front desk where required
- Assist with other kitchen and housekeeping ad-hoc duties as required

To be successful in the role ideally you will have relevant experience in Housekeeping, Facilities or Restaurant services; experience working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds; and previous experience in the Not-for-Profit sector.

The safety of the children and families we help is paramount. Our recruitment and selection process include police and working with children checks to assess applicants’ suitability to work with children and families.

**Requirements for this position**:

- Current State-based Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Have received 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine is a requirement of the role
