Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a charitable organisation set up to help seriously ill children and their families. RMH Westmead is one of the eleven Ronald McDonald House Chapters across Australia providing Programs for seriously ill children and their families with our Ronald McDonald House being the more prominently known.

RMH Westmead has a 60 room House Program as well as a Family Room.

This position is part-time, working as rostered, hours may vary between Day and Afternoon Shifts
- Example - Monday 12:30pm - 8:30pm, Tuesday 8:00am - 2:00pm, Wednesday 12:30pm - 8:30pm, Thursday 12:30pm - 8:30pm_

**The Role**

Reporting to the Mission Experience Manager, this role involves:

- Managing food preparation and cleanliness of the volunteer kitchen, for programs like Meals from the Heart
- Work alongside the Manager for menu ideas and food ordering requirements
- Ensure Food & health safety practices are followed
- Co-ordinate & interact with corporate and community supporters and partners to facilitate programs that exceed expectations
- Work closely with house volunteers to help deliver programs
- Stock rotation, stocktake, cleanliness of pantries, cool rooms and freezers
- Assist with receiving and packing of deliveries as needed
- Work alongside Kitchen Assistant & Stores Assistant
- Ensure house facilities are kept clean and tidy in conjunction with housekeepers and relevant staff and volunteers, as required
- Assist with other kitchen and housekeeping ad-hoc duties as required

**To be successful in the role ideally you will**:

- Completed Commercial Cookery Certificate III
- Have relevant experience in Restaurant services & Hospitality, Housekeeping & Facilities
- Have the Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (preferred) or willing to obtain
- Have experience working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
- Previous experience in the Not-for-Profit sector

**Requirements for this position**:

- Current State-based Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Have received 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine is a requirement of the role

**Salary**: $28.01 - $33.09 per hour
