We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Safety Service Officer to support our mission of ensuring safety and security within the community. If you have a passion for service and the ability to work independently, we want to hear from you

**Salary**:Up to $89,914.63 p.a. total salary package ($76,908.35 - $84,244.35 + 11.5% super)

**Location**: City of Melville Operations Centre

**Employment Type**:Fixed Term Contract ending 30 June 2027, Full-Time (84 hours, 7x12 hour shift per fortnight)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct proactive, intelligence-led community patrols that involve significant independent driving, foot patrols. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative to effectively monitor the area and respond to customer requests or incidents
- Utilize initiative to resolve issues during customer interactions while ensuring personal safety and promptly referring significant problems to the Team Leader
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address community concerns
- Assist Team Leaders in maintaining accurate records of shift activities Provide control and dispatch support to the Team Leader by managing inbound calls to the 1300 number and executing related outbound instructions
- Uphold the organization’s values and support cross-functional teams to meet customer and organizational needs
- Take appropriate actions in line with established policies to ensure a strong focus on customer service
- Promote and adhere to a holistic Safety, Environment, Health & Quality culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams and Audit teams as required
- Perform other tasks as requested within the scope of the position

**What We’re Looking For**
- Current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Security Officers License under the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
