Proudly Australian owned and established in 2010, Cornell Design has provided professional, mechanical, electrical and structural designer drafters to work within our clients’ design and engineering teams when they require additional or specialist assistance.

We deliver design services across multiple industry sectors that include **defence, water, medical, food and beverage, beer and wine, manufacturing, infrastructure, mining and sport.**

Due to **significant ongoing demand **for our drafting services, Cornell Design is continually seeking experienced and talented **mechanical, structural and electrical** design drafters to maintain our growth and build upon our formidable reputation as the preeminent design and drafting firm in SA. **At Cornell Design your focus will be on**:

- Providing **proficient drafting design capacity and expertise** to our clients’ of various sizes both on their sites across Adelaide and within our offices based at Melrose Park
- Seamless integration into clients’ mechanical, structural and electrical design teams to help them achieve desired outcomes and meet project deadlines
- Appropriate management of clients’ expectations based on Cornell Design’s belief that the clients’ needs come first
- Solve design challenges and work efficiently

**To be successful in this opportunity you will**:

- Demonstrate **superior verbal and written communication skills** and possess a flexible attitude towards changing work environments and projects
- Have completed a **trade-based qualification** and spent a substantial number of years as a tradesperson ‘on the tools’ before taking your steps into CAD. (Toolmaker, CNC machinist, Fitter & Turner, Welder & Boilermaker or Electrician), Civil Engineers with hands on experience and Drafting proficiency are also well regarded
- Offer **significant (minimum 3 years) post-qualification design and drafting workplace** experience in design packages including **Inventor, SolidWorks**, AutoCAD, **Revit,** **Plant3D**, NX, Creo, Catia and Microstation.
- First-hand understanding of **document control** within a quality accredited organisation is desirable
- Have the capacity to **adapt quickly and 'hit the ground running**' in getting up to speed with our client's specific requirements and drawing standards
- Your ability to quickly immerse and make a positive contribution within new teams will be essential

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $79,999.00 per year
