Maxima, in partnership with the Calvary Hospital, are on the lookout for a committed individual to undertake a business traineeship as a Patient Services Officer.

This diverse role will see you working fulltime within the CBD at their reputable and busy hospital. Across 18-months you will be provided with paid, practical experience alongside experienced supervisors and study towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Business **within the **Medical Stream.**

**The Role**:
As a Patient Services Officer trainee you will work across various medical departments in the hospital providing exceptional customer service and administrative assistance for all admissions and discharges.

In this position your hours will be rostered between 6:30am-9:00pm.

Duties include:

- Welcome patients and visitors
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Answer incoming telephone calls on a busy switchboard
- Process patient admission and discharges
- Data entry, scanning and filing as required

**About You**:

- Ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals
- Showcases initiative and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Remains calm when working under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

**Role Requirements**:

- Ability to work between 6:30am and 9:00pm
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations or willing to obtain (2 doses)
- Reliable transport
- Previous customer service experience (desirable)
