Balwyn North, Australia FLOORING EXPERT Full time

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused sales professional who will be responsible for **assisting customers in our showroom, generating sales, and inspecting properties** to assess flooring requirements. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, technical understanding of timber flooring, and on-site inspection skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sales & Customer Service**:

- Greet and assist customers in the showroom, providing expert advice on timber flooring options.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and interior designers.
- Prepare and present flooring solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide quotations, and follow up on leads.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive engagement.
- **Property Inspections & Site Assessments**:

- Visit residential and commercial properties to inspect flooring areas.
- Assess subfloor conditions and measure spaces accurately.
- Provide professional recommendations based on site conditions.
- Identify potential installation challenges and propose solutions.
- **Operational & Administrative Support**:

- Maintain showroom displays and keep product knowledge up to date.
- Coordinate with installers, suppliers, and the operations team.
- Process sales transactions, invoices, and job orders.
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up on potential sales.

**Key Requirements**:

- Previous experience in **flooring, interior design, or a related sales role** (**preferred**).
- Ability to conduct **property inspections** and provide technical advice.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Sales-driven mindset with a proactive approach to business development.
- Basic understanding of flooring materials, installation processes, and subfloors (training provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site inspections.
- **Availability for full-time or part-time work** (flexible schedule can be discussed).
- **Australian or Permanent resident.**
