In the Junior School, Calamvale CC offers the Australian Curriculum through the lens of the IB PYP (Primary Years Program). Our Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools deliver the Australian Curriculum and the QCE Curriculum, complemented by a vast array of VET and Pathway options in the senior school.
About the Role
The Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning is responsible for leading the capability development and quality assurance practices necessary to ensure a school wide approach to systematic curriculum development and delivery. This includes:
Leading and working with Heads of Program to develop, align and quality assure the three levels of planning.
Quality assuring the implementation of the Australian Curriculum v9.0 with a focus on the alignment of Achievement Standards, Cross-curricular Priorities and General Capabilities.
Quality assure the alignment of assessment practices, formative and summative feedback and moderation processes.
This position is suited to a leader with a passion for curriculum and pedagogy to engage student learners.
The Deputy Principal, Teaching and Learning is line managed and supported by the Head of School, Junior Secondary and will be a valuable member of a Senior Leadership Team focussed on our school strategic priorities of improvement in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Culture of Learning.
