**Clinical Specialist - Putting Families First**:

**About the Role**:
This is a fixed-term Part Time position at 38 hours per fortnight within the Mental Health program. The Putting Families First (PFF) program is a joint initiative between the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and the Department of Justice and Community Safety. This program aims to address system barriers to enable more coordinated, person-centred and evidence-informed service delivery to families, to enable them to improve their life outcomes. Families referred to PFF will be those where a mother has been in custody in the previous 12-months, or a child aged under 19 years has had a Youth Justice Order or other involvement with the youth justice system. PFF Brimbank-Melton is led by Oz Child, in partnership with Charis Mentoring, AAFRO, YSAS, VACCA, Good Shepherd, RCH Mental Health and Western Health.
You will be responsible for providing clinical support, consultation and capacity-building to the PFF core (OzChild), interdisciplinary team and associated area-based resources. The Clinical Specialist works to build and maintain partnerships, with the purposes of building capacity with other sectors to identify and respond to young people’s mental health problems and mental disorders, and enhancing pathways between services that young people might use.
Classification for this position will depend on the discipline Allied Health Grade 4, year 1 to year 5 / Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 5.
**What you’ll achieve**:
A key role in supporting Family Violence Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) alignment and embedding, supported by engagement in state-wide SFVA activity.
leadership and support to staff within the service and encourage joint practice and collaboration across the three sectors of mental health, AOD and family violence to provide an enhanced response to family violence.
promoting the benefits of a catchment-wide understanding and collaborative response to family violence.
**Your skills and experience**:
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Registered Nurse with the applicable Health Practitioner Board or a qualified Social Worker or Speech Pathologist.
- Demonstrated commitment to work with marginalised communities.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership, partnership and collaboration and working in true partnership
- Experience in providing quality clinical/professional supervision to staff and students
