EQUANS is currently looking for an experienced and proficient Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join the team in our Fairfield office, VIC. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for monitoring business performance, advising on the financial consequences of decisions, leading the process of reporting financial and managerial data, and makes recommendations targeted at improving and safeguarding financial results.
- Role Overview_
- Work closely with senior management to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both medium and long-term financial planning
- Assist and manager the designing, developing, and delivering of Company’s financial management strategy
- Overall responsibility for creating, setting, and monitoring budgets that achieve organisational strategy. Working closely with leadership and Business Units heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts
- Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
- Anticipate and report on results, trends and complex challenges and opportunities, ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy
- Utilising BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance, financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost centre results
- Provide specialist advise to the leadership team and provide commercial support to Business Units
- Ensuring that all commercially biased INCOME (Internal Controls and Management Efficiency) indicators are complied with across the Sector
- Key skills and experience required _
- Tertiary degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant analytical experience
- Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting tools
- Strong quantitative abilities
- Able to solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- High level of commercial acumen
- Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
- Professional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFA
