Traineeship - Care Worker

BCD Community Care Inc is an industry leading provider with a range of services supporting people to live their life in their homes and within the community as independently as possible.

We are looking for team members who are passionate about providing quality care to our customers, and we currently have opportunities for **Full Time Traineeships.**

The role of a Care Worker with BCD Community Care Inc is to engage with our customers so they may live as independently as possible. Each service we provide may include a combination of domestic assistance, personal care, social support and community access.

As a **Trainee**, you will undertake a fully funded traineeship for Certificate III Individual Support, where you combine education whilst learning practical on the job. You will have access to a dedicated trainer to support you through your course, with six hours paid study time per fortnight. We will provide you will the skills and experience needed to succeed when first starting your career in the industry.

You have:

- The ability to follow procedures and ensure the customer's personal preferences are adhered to
- Excellent communication skills and can maintain professional boundaries with customers and their families
- Time management skills ensuring you can work within designated timeframes
- Adaptability for unexpected changes due to customer and rostering requirements
- An open and enthusiastic manner with a commitment to working with people living with disabilities
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
- Availability to work days, nights and weekends

**Essential Requirements and Qualifications**
- Your own fully comprehensively insured reliable vehicle
- A valid NSW Driver's Licence (P's accepted)
- An NDIS Worker Screen Number
- A current Working With Children Check for Employment
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Medicare Immunisation Certificate showing Covid Vaccinations
- Certificate for NDIS Worker Orientation Module and NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module
- Must be authorised to work in Australia

Work Location: One location
