**Role Summary**:
The Risk Principal is a newly created opportunity in our Risk team based at our Perth CBD office.

The purpose of the role is to implement, improve and maintenance of Synergy’s Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) framework and develop in conjunction with the business critical and project management controls to address ineffective material risks as well as delivering effective enterprise risk management programmes to support operations, projects and corporate risk management.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Design, implement and continuously improve the SoCI risk management processes and alignment with the ERM framework to ensure that the framework reflects current practices and risk management processes.
- Design implement and governance of the four SoCI hazard vector material risk assessments.
- Maintain a complete and accurate SoCI material risk profile, visible to the Executive, ARC and board. Perform 2nd line verification of SoCI material risks, controls and actions aligned with SFARP, and provide independent 2nd line assurance of the SoCI material risk profile.
- Facilitate and coordinate the successful completion of all governance requirements for SoCI risk management, including ARC and board reporting.
- Develop, implement and monitor the SoCI business continuity framework and plans for restoring organisational activities as safely and efficiently as possible (included in the Board attestation).

**What you’ll bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business, Engineering or equivalent Technical field.
- Exposure to operations and corporate risk management within a similar organisation or industry
- 7-10 years’ working in a senior enterprise risk role.
