Providing niche risk management and risk financing services to WA Local Governments under the LGIS business name and risk services for an emerging client base of corporate, government and not-for-profit entities.

We are looking for a motivated professional to work within our Risk and Governance Team to specifically support, coordinate and deliver legal and liability risk management services. The role will be part of the Professional Risk team and in particular providing support to the ‘Principal Risk Consultant - Legal’, and three ‘Senior Risk Consultants’, in advising on professional risk, public liability risk and contract risk.

**Key duties of this position will include**:

- Identifying public and professional liability risk management needs.
- Assessing legal risk management exposures and advising on appropriate solutions.
- Advising on the allocation of risks in contracts and the relevance of key risk clauses.
- Developing and coordinating the delivery of professional risk, public liability risk and contract risk services.
- Liaising with other teams to encourage knowledge sharing and a coordinated service approach.
- Maintaining records and status of risk services scheduled and delivered.
- Preparing reports and delivering presentations to a range of stakeholders.
- Contribute to overall business objectives and performance.

**To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and experience in the following (selection criteria)**:

- Ability to read, synthesise and explain complex ideas, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills (including report writing, presentation skills and actively contributing in meetings).
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships.
- Practical knowledge of risk management, liability and legal principles, standards and practices.
- An understanding of clauses within a contract and their impact on risk.
- Flexible, adaptable; and ability to work within a diverse and dynamic team and to work autonomously.
- Proven time management and organisational skills.
- Undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines Law, Business, Risk, Finance, Commerce, Economics or Politics, or alternatively suitable experience in a legal, liability risk or governance environment.
