This is a great opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to help shape the future of Health and Safey as WSP enters a new three-year strategic cycle. We are committed to adopting a fresh perspective on Health & Safety, seeking to explore and implement innovative ideas and practices to minimize the risks associated with our activities. This is your chance to provide leadership, advice and support to our teams, projects, and leaders across NSW/ACT as a Regional HSE Manager.

This role is based in WSP’s Sydney World Square office. Hybrid work arrangements are supported, with a requirement to be in the office or on site at least three days a week (flexibility on days).

**What you will do**:
Your role will involve a variety of tasks and responsibilities including:

- Lead and support the development and implementation of a systems approach to HSE including providing accurate and timely HSE advice
- Lead and support key influencers, including people leaders and project managers/directors on methods to foster and monitor a positive HSE culture
- Lead development of HSE risk management processes and facilitate and support their implementation and maintenance
- Lead processes for monitoring and measurement of HSE performance
- Implement, monitor and evaluate processes and procedures to investigate, analyse and report on incidents and nonconformities indicating failures or inadequacies of controls.
- Implement processes for knowledge collection and management to enable positive HSE outcomes including collecting and keeping up-to-date relevant internal and external HSE information
- Communicate, engage with and influence people and project managers, and workers to mitigate risk and optimise worker health and safety and environmental performance
- Manage injury/illness and claims management

**About You**:
You are a skilled HSE Manager with experience in complex, site-based infrastructure projects. Your expertise lies in developing safety processes, compliance, and optimisation of Safety systems to mitigate risk and promote safe work environments. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

You will have:

- Tertiary Qualifications, with an HSE focus preferred.
- Previous work experience within a similar industry and/or risk profile
- In-depth experience in an HSE role
- HSE technical skills (e.g. training, auditing, investigation, learning teams, HOP, etc.)
