**About the role**
- The Principal Governance & Legislation Advisor is responsible for leading and managing complex matters, that deliver solution focussed legal advice and enable TAFE SA business units to make risk based commercial and legal decisions.
- The position leads the design, development and implementation of a strategic legal framework and leads a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of specialist advice and support to TAFE SA business units and staff in relation to legal and regulatory compliance, related policies and procedures, delegations, and regulatory reporting.
- The Principal Governance & Legislation Advisor is also responsible for leading the delivery of expert advice in relation to leases, agreements and contracts with private sector providers and business customers and acts as TAFE SA’s high level interface with the Crown Solicitors Office.

**Special Conditions**
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
