**In this role, your key responsibilities will be**:
- ** People Management**: Lead and develop the ANZ accounting team. Foster cross-functional and global collaboration. Contribute to long-term organizational strategy.
- ** Financial Accounting**: Oversee and approve accounting entries. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Collaborate with global teams on revenue accounting and analysis. Ensure timely and accurate accounting for intercompany transactions.
- ** Financial Control**: Oversee payroll and bank payments. Prepare and review cashflow statements. Monitor governance and implement changes to authorizations and segregation of duties.
- ** Tax Compliance**: Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including Corporate Income tax, GST, and payroll tax, for both Australia and New Zealand. Collaborate with Global Tax department on Transfer pricing documentation and accounting for related party transactions.
- ** External Reporting**: Review and approve annual financial statements and tax returns. Manage relationships with auditors and other service providers. Stay informed on evolving regulations for accounting, financial, and ESG reporting.
- ** Process Improvement**: Drive continuous improvements in accounting, reporting, and tax compliance processes. Support regional and global initiatives for process and control enhancements.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role
- Chartered Accountant (CA) oir CPA qualification
- Able to collaborate effectively in a global functional matrix organization
- Strong change management and process improvement skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance and statutory reporting
- Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Results-driven, and a collaborative team player.
