About the role

This internal Expression of Interest offers an opportunity to step into the Deputy Principal role and contribute to the strategic direction of Kingaroy State School.

You will lead professional development, support the V9 Pedagogy team to strengthen school-wide practices, and drive Positive Behaviour for Learning. A key focus includes enhancing early years transitions through a multidisciplinary approach that fosters engagement and growth.

The role also involves building strong, positive relationships across our school community to maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for every student.

Your Responsibilities

As Deputy Principal, you will:
Lead the school community in a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
Step into the Principal role when required.
Demonstrate values-based, ethical and moral leadership.
Lead Starting Strong initiatives, including actions relating to attendance, behaviour and transitions.
Line manage the P-2 team and lead key areas including Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), The Resilience Project, Dimensions of Belonging, timetabling, reporting, and other duties as delegated by the Principal.
