About the Role

As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), you will play a vital role in improving the educational outcomes of all students, with a strong focus on supporting those with disabilities. You will lead the development of high-quality teaching and learning practices that meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to education. By fostering a culture of collaboration and respect, you will nurture positive and supportive relationships between students, staff, families, and the broader school community, contributing to a safe and engaging learning environment.

This is a temporary full-time position, from 25 August 2025 to 19 September 2025, unless otherwise determined.

Your Responsibilities

As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.

Deputise for the Principal when required.

Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.

Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
