Let’s care for everyone’s tomorrow so we can create a better future together. **Legal and Settlements Specialist | Personal Injury, Long Tail Claims | Brisbane, QLD** - Put the customer at the heart of everything you do - Feel empowered to make a positive impact - Be trusted to do what's right **About the Role**: Reporting to the National Legal and Settlements Manager, this role’s purpose is to contribute to Long Tail financial outcomes through strategic and targeted settlement processes with a focus on achieving better than industry finalisation outcomes. This role includes coaching and mentoring claims staff on negotiation and settlement techniques and working with Allianz legal providers to achieve fair outcomes for all parties. This is a permanent opportunity working alongside 5 other Legal and Settlements Specialist nationwide. With a high focus on face to face conferencing, there is also the flexibility to work from home when conferences are not scheduled. **You'll be responsible for**: - Represent Allianz at settlement conferences and significantly contribute to the achievement of better than industry claim outcomes. - Develop and implement strategies which facilitate early and effective settlement negotiations which results in in fair outcomes for all customers. - Support all Long Tail business areas to accurately assess entitlement and risk, working with individuals and teams to advise on and facilitate effective negotiations. - Proactively provide high quality, customer focused, commercially oriented settlement advice and action. - Identify matters where reputational risks exist, or sensitive matters are identified, to ensure expected behaviours are displayed to ensure consideration to the customer during negotiations. - Support strategic claims management, with both a technical and injury management focus. - Assist with regulatory requirements and reviews and provide technical and quality assurance advice and drafting of quality assurance responses. - Proactively identify business improvement opportunities, share best practice work and initiatives, improving capability and collaboration across the business. - Provide training and support to case managers to assist their development and understanding of strategic claims management. - Work closely with Long Tail managers and leaders to support the achievement of settlement and finalisation targets. - Work closely with panel legal providers to ensure settlement approaches and strategies consistent with company strategies and targets. **Important to your success**: - Prior experience in conducting settlement conferences and achieving great outcomes. - Extensive technical experience in a CTP personal injury claims business, with a proven ability to assess damages and develop successful claims resolution strategies. - Excellent negotiation skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence. - Sound business acumen, business planning, data management experience. - Extensive ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure all parties needs are met. **What's on offer?** - **Flexible work environment**: - **Permanent opportunity**: - National team working alongside NSW, SA & QLD CTP business areas - A competitive salary package - A tailored career program to determine where you want to go within Allianz - A range of attractive benefits including Insurance & Gym Membership discounts - A strong, progressive & supportive team environment; we work together to achieve great results **About us** Allianz is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
