Fantastic opportunity to work within a Traffic Engineering Support role, in major State Government department

**Your new company**

A leading State Government department based in East Perth, is seeking experienced Traffic Engineers to commence within a Traffic Services or Traffic Modelling Support role. These opportunities are available on an ongoing temporary basis, working full-time hours in a department based in East Perth. Ideally you will be available to commence immediately, working on a competitive hourly rate.

**Your new role**

Within these opportunities you will be responsible for providing traffic engineering support and advice to the department, as well as other external stakeholders. You will be responsible for duties including:

- Provide traffic support and advice to the department and other stakeholders including members of the public on traffic management and road safety matters.
- Investigate traffic issues and concerns and develop solutions for further consideration and assessment by a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring the efficiency and safety of the road network and investigate, review, and propose improvement measures.
- Undertake the project management of minor improvement projects, i.e. simple signals, signs, and line marking
- Undertake data analysis and report writing

Should you wish to be considered for the Traffic Modelling Support role, you will also be responsible for:

- Perform site assessments for model calibration and validation as able
- Manage signal approval requirements

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for these roles, you will demonstrate:

- Experience or knowledge of Traffic Engineering principles and practices, including the use of any traffic modelling software.
- Investigation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Possession of WA 'C' Class motor vehicle driving licence
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise advice to a range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and some exposure to intersection modelling packages would be beneficial for the Modelling Support role
