**About the role**
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to become a pivotal member of their IT infrastructure build, where you will get your hands dirty driving the development and implementation of a central Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and scalability of their service offerings, empowering their team to excel in delivering market-leading products.
**Key Responsibilities of the role**Build and cultivate a high-performance project team by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.Lead projects from inception to deployment, outlining schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, ensuring risk mitigation.Oversee governance of UI and database language + architecture, benchmarking performance & usability, and validating new features.Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.Analyze project status and adapt scope, schedule, or budget as needed to meet project requirements.Foster and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, offering day-to-day updates on project status and changes.
- Establish and uphold processes for managing project scope, setting quality standards, and assessing risks.
**What you’ll need**3-5 years of experience in managing IT implementation projects.Strong technical proficiency with a deep understanding of software development.Expertise in developing web technologies and software platforms for optimal usability.Proven stakeholder management skills with effective conflict resolution abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
- Proficient time management, multitasking, and project scope writing abilities.
**Nice to haves**Successful delivery of a LIMS (or similar) software development project.Experience in developing platforms for internal processes.
- Coaching abilities to enhance the skill sets of project team members.
