Western Health is seeking an experienced and capable corporate governance professional to undertake the newly created full-time role of Governance Officer (Board Secretariat).

This is an opportunity to work closely with an experienced and well-respected Board Chair and an energetic and engaging Chief Executive, and to provide essential governance support to the Board, Board Committees and the General Counsel of a rapidly expanding public health service.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Administration of Board and Board Committees meetings
- Co-ordination of Annual Report content
- Co-ordination of induction of new Board members
- Organisation of the Annual General Meeting
- Assisting in the conduct of Board and Executive strategy workshops and Board evaluations
- Management and drafting of Board correspondence
- Management of scheduling for the Board Chair
- Management and review of Board governance documents
- Management and review of Integrity Framework Policies and Procedures including Conflicts of Interests, Public Interest Disclosures, Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality
- Maintenance of corporate registers and external reporting associated with Board governance and integrity

With a large number of internal and external stakeholders and a significant growth agenda at Western Health, every day will be interesting and challenging day for the Governance Officer (Board Secretariat).

The role is based at Footscray Hospital in the Executive Offices and may be worked on a flexible basis around the requirements of the Board Chair and scheduling of in-person meetings.
