GARDEN MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER
Waratah Group Services is a well-established business operating for over 20 years with a great reputation providing high quality maintenance services on commercial, government and residential strata properties throughout Sydney.
Waratah Group Services is currently seeking to employ highly motivated individuals to join our commercial garden maintenance division. These full time roles involve leading a small team to maintain and continue to enhance our established and new contracts throughout Sydney.
Responsibilities of the Team Leader include but are not limited to:
- Leading a small team to complete commercial, government and residential garden maintenance across multiple sites
- Regularly liaising with our Maintenance Operations Manager and clients
- General garden maintenance work - hedging, mowing & edging of lawns, pruning of small trees and shrubs etc
- Identify and treat pests and diseases in both garden and turf areas
- Identify and treat weeds in both garden and turf areas
- Seasonal fertilising, mulching and top dressing of lawns
- Soft landscaping works - planting, minor irrigation work, turf installation etc
- A range of other relevant horticultural works
The successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
- Experience in the Horticulture industry
- Current unrestricted drivers licence
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture an advantage
- Experience operating and maintaining horticultural equipment of varying size
- The ability to lead and encourage team members to work effectively together
- Good time management and communication skills
- Experience with irrigation systems is desirable
- Current Chemcert is desirable
- The ability to adhere to company WH&S policies ensuring a safe and productive workplace
- A desire to provide a high quality commercial garden maintenance service
All Team Leader roles come with fully maintained company vehicle and tool kit.

- Gardening: 2 years (required)
