**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple **Engagement Strategy Officer's** to join the Co-design and Engagement Branch in making sure the Agency's participants, nominees, carers and families and disability sector stakeholders are informed about and engaged in the design, delivery, and evaluation of the Agency.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS5 level role paying an hourly rate of $53.63 + Superannuation, whilst the APS6 is $58.50 + Super. To be based out of either **Richmond or Geelong.**

This is a **hybrid position** offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 8-hour days expected.

**About the role**:
The APS5 Engagement Strategy and Innovation Advisor is an important **team membership** position within the Agency. You will be required to undertake work that is moderately complex to complex in nature and operate under limited direction.

The APS6 Senior Engagement Strategy and Innovation Advisor is a **team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership** and management responsibilities including the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team. It will require working collaboratively within the team including sharing and developing specialised knowledge in areas of expertise.

This APS6 Senior Engagement position has a focus on engagement via Digital Media, whereas the APS5 will encompass all sectors.

**As an APS5 your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing technical advice and expertise on developing, implementing and evaluating public engagement strategies
- Assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of public engagement strategies
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to improve the way we engage with participants and other stakeholders
- Assisting in the development of reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Senior Executives
- Performing data analysis and research to evaluate engagement and co-design functions and develop and test new approaches
- Representing the Agency in stakeholder interactions and public facing events, delivering messaging and ensuring opportunities for representation for people with

**As an APS6 your responsibilities will include**:

- Contributing specialist and technical advice on the use of digital technologies to deliver engagement and co-design activities
- Contributing your research and analytical skills to evaluating engagement and co-design functions and developing and testing new approaches
- Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to improve the way we capture and analyse engagement data and insights to inform decision-making
- Contributing specialist knowledge and expertise on new and innovative approaches to engaging with people with disability and other stakeholders
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of digital engagement strategies
- Contributing to draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Senior Executives
- Undertaking data analysis to measure

**About you**
- ** Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position**:

- Experience in providing advice and support on developing, implementing and evaluating engagement strategies
- Experience with data analysis to measure the effectiveness of activities and strategies and identify emerging trends or risks
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM's)
- Experience in providing advice and support on the use of digital technologies to deliver
- Prior experience within Disability or Government environments highly regarded
- Experience using Darzin advantageous
