About the opportunity

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Strategy and Planning leader to join our high-performing team. As the Group Manager, Strategy and Planning, you will play a pivotal role in developing, deploying, and monitoring our Group-wide strategy, while leading key strategic initiatives.

The Group Manager, Strategy and Planning will hold key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and achieve organisational strategy.- Lead Mercy Health’s integrated planning approach, supporting teams in creating annual business plans and KPIs to drive strategic objectives and outcomes.- Provide strategic advice to the Executive and Board through briefing papers and presentations on strategy, business planning, and initiatives.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in health services management, strategy, or planning.- Management experience in complex settings such as public health services or government.- Strong commercial acumen and business writing skills, with the ability to prepare reports and business cases for the Executive and Board.- Proven experience in leading the development and execution of organisational strategy and business planning processes.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check.
