Join us as Sales Specialist for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be responsible for sales of products, systems, and services within a designated market. Leading sales and business development in the Datacenter Automation sector within Australia. Developing a detailed understanding of the sector, define, and implement effective sales and business development initiatives and provide domain knowledge to ABB Sales Teams. You are responsible for Channel Partner management in Australia. Developing and maintain a highly effective indirect sales network via third party system integrators and channel partners within Australia, to improve ABB market position and realize growth aspirations within targeted industries. This Position can be based in Fortitude Valley (QLD), Moorebank (NSW) or Notting Hill (VIC).

**Your responsibilities**:
- Developing a detailed understanding of the Australian Datacenter Automation sector and maintaining relationships with key contacts and defining and implementing effective sales and business development initiatives
- Providing market intelligence and defining and implementing indirect sales strategy and supporting channels in developing and maintaining structured business plans
- Achieving qualitative and quantitative targets for assigned channels in a profitable way and proactively monitor assigned channel performance against agreed KPIs
- Preparing sales plans using company tools and performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls and adding value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques
- Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities within a designated market and ensure “know-how” sharing and cross-collaboration
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities as required and prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal team and/or the Marketing Manager
**Your background**:
- Demonstrated experience in a sales role with a strong focus on building customer relationships and a minimum of 5 years working in a datacenter business
- Must have significant contacts in the datacenter industry with consultants, EPC’s, installation/cabling sub-contractors
- Must have expertise with the following:
- Facilities management
- Building management (BMS) solutions
- Electrical infrastructure and EPMS solutions
- Datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) software/systems sales
- Proven experience working with channel partners, preferably affiliated with Process Automation/Control Systems and experience with Indirect Sales in the Food & Beverage Industry Segment will be highly regarded
- Strategic thinker & results orientated, Excellent interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills and Exposure to Salesforce or knowledge of is advantageous
