THE ROLE

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Project Officer to support project delivery for the Private Partnerships Unit, Housing Development Branch. The focus for this role will be supporting the team's work with the private sector to rapidly identify and procure property at various stages of development and oversee large construction pipeline.
The Project Officer will be responsible for preparing project plans, monitoring and reporting on project status and financials, contributing to risk and issue management, establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, participating in and facilitating project meetings, and preparation of a range of project documents including evaluation reports and support for investment decisions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
(a) Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
(b) Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
(c) Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
2. Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
3. Assist in providing advice to stakeholders and assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters.
