Team Supervisor

Salary: $77,416 - $90,120 p.a. plus 11% Super
- Fixed Term - 24-month contract
- Leaseback vehicle

**About the role**
This is a **24-month, fixed term**, **full-time**, Monday to Friday position working **35 hours** per week. Located at the **Bomaderry Works Depot - Fleet**.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Coordinator - Fleet Services, the focus of this position is to:

- Ensure that the acquisition and disposal of plant and vehicles is carried out in accordance with the Council’s Motor Vehicle Policy and Procedures, legislation as it applies to a NSW Local Government Authority and the adopted annual budgets for plant and vehicle acquisition and disposal.
- Supervise and support Internal Hire Fleet Staff.
- Provide first point of contact to Council staff involved in vehicle breakdown or accident, including coordinating vehicle recovery, repair and replacement vehicles.
- Ensure Utilisation of the internal Hire Fleet.
- Ensure Refueling demands and volumes are achieved.
- Develop specifications for plant and vehicles in conjunction with operators and the Fleet Coordinator.
- Research and advise stakeholders on applicable rules, regulations, and compliance requirements for the operation of Council’s assets.
- Ensure that records relating to the Council fleet are maintained in the Fleet and TRIM record systems.
- Ensures that all communication provided is correct, factual, timely, customer-focused and in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements and Council procedures.

**Skills & Experience**
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

- TAFE Certificate in the field of Motor Mechanics or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the motor repair or related industry.
- Minimum 4 years Fleet Management and/or Procurement experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to obtain.
- Class MR Driver’s Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
- Experience in processing insurance claims and coordinating vehicle and plant repairs
- Knowledge of the fleet and heavy plant industry
- Working knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Legislation (Chain of Responsibility) and Fringe Benefit Tax as it applies to Fleet Management.
- Ability to foster teamwork within and between teams to deliver services for the benefit of the
- community.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and developing others to achieve work goals.
- Capacity to supervise team activities and monitor the use of resources to deliver planned
- results for customers and the community.

- Demonstrated understanding of procurement in a Fleet, Stores, or a centralised procurement environment within a large multi-function organization
- High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
- Understanding of purchasing and record management systems.
- Ability to source assistance in regard to evaluating technical issues relating to plant and
- equipment.
- Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deliver within deadlines.
