**PCA/Nursing Assistant**

**We are seeking an experienced, positive and enthusiastic PCA/Nursing Assistant to join our 20 bed General Medical Ward at Joondalup Health Campus.**

**There are multiple Permanent Part Time opportunities available.**

**About the Role**

As a Nursing Assistant, you will be joining our General Medical team to provide support and assistance to our dedicated teams where needed.
- Your role will involve, but is not limited to;_
- Supporting health care professionals and undertaking the duties of assisting patients with activities of daily living by attending to their hygiene, feeding, mouth and denture care, nutritional needs, skin care, patient exercise and mobilisation;
- Caring for patients whilst ensuring the maintenance of their security, modesty and self-esteem; and
- Observing and promptly reporting changes in patient conditions or patients’ needs and enquiries to the Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Manager.

In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and work with a varied clinical team.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.

You will also hold;
- Experience within a clinical hospital setting is ideal for this role and any experience within a Medical/Surgical Ward will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
- Certificate III patient care assistant or similar is desirable

This role requires a caring and compassionate nature that enables you to provide supportive care to patients and their families

**You must be willing to work night duty on a rotational basis and have experience working with dementia patients.**

**Remuneration**

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from; $29-$30 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA EN & Support EBA).
