We are seeking to recruit a Technical Officer to join our Train and Tram Assets team.

The Technical Officer is part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineering resources providing signals support to the Manager, Train and Tram assets in the management of the South Australian Government’s Train and Tram assets, including the surveillance of service providers that carry out Signal maintenance of the department’s assets to achieve consistency of asset condition and performance across the network.

The role is responsible for the review and monitoring of service provider performance, reports and verification against their assets maintenance systems and technical maintenance plans, presenting recommendations, operational improvements and risk mitigation. Provide a comprehensive range of improvement projects delivered for the signalling systems.

Accountable to the Manager, Train and Tram Assets this role liaises with a range of internal and external customers, including service providers, contractors, Asset Maintenance workgroups and members of the public.

**Qualifications/Experience**

For appointment to role at the TGO2 classification level, completion of an Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in relevant discipline is essential.

**Special Conditions**

All Rail Safety Workers must carry out their duties in accordance with the _Rail Safety National Law 2012_ and in keeping with the Rail Commissioner’s Safety Management System.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

**Remuneration**
TGO2 - $75,240 to $79,880 pa + superannuation.
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 pa + superannuation.
