- **About the opportunity**_
As our organisation continues to flourish, and with our valued clients in mind, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed Active Support Workers who have a passion for supporting clients under an Active Support model. Our focus is to provide sensory pathways for our clients to enhance their inclusion, independence, and well-being.
We currently have several Casual, Parttime and Fulltime postion available in our soon to open Group Home located in the Schofields area.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Provide support to our clients using a person-centered approach under the Active Support model
- See the potential in our clients and show the initiative and sensitivity to empower them in their day-to-day living experiences
- Ensure client notes are updated and CTARS system (or other software systems) are fully utilised
- Communicate and liaise with key stakeholders such as families, guardians, and other service providers
- Work as part of a dedicated and energetic team
- Other duties as directed by the Team Leader or Home Services Manager
- Ensure all Forsight policies and procedures are adhered to
We are looking for Active Support Workers who are as focused on supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life
**We are looking for someone with**:
- Minimum 2 years experiences in a similar role
- Knowledge of the NDIS
- Dedicated to client care and wellbeing
- Flexible and empathetic attitude
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
- Proficiency utilising Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Available for regular shifts on a 24/7 roster (including sleepover and active nights)
**In addition, we’ll require the following**:
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (with at least 3 months until expiry)
- Minimum Cert III or higher in Disability or related discipline.
- A valid and unrestricted NSW driver’s license
- Right to work in Australia
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster Vaccination.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (with at least 3 months until expiry)
- Alignment with Forsight’s purpose and values
