Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travellers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features some amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as an Executive Lounge.

**Job Description**:
We are currently looking for a dedicated customer-focused Banquets Supervisor to join our team.

Reporting to the Conference and Events Operations Manager & Director of Food & Beverage, the key responsibilities of this role include:

- Being "Guest obsessed" while providing support and presence on the front of house areas to ensure the smooth operation of the Department & quality service is provided
- Providing leadership and guidance to your F&B colleagues, ensuring our F&B service standards are observed providing a consistently high level of service to all guests
- Set up and pack down of events/conference rooms and coordination on the day
- Familiarizing yourself with VIP and regular clients to ensure their requests and needs are met
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service and promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and promoting general OHS practices
- A ‘hands on’ approach is required as is to work as part of a team to provide efficient service

**Qualifications**:
What we are looking for:

- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor or Team Leader role within the Conference and Events Operations area is required
- Passionate for Food & Beverage and event service
- Experience in training and motivating employees
- Friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation and self-awareness

Specific Requirements:

- Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays
- Excellent communication skills
- Being a true hospitality professional dedicated to providing customer service excellence
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
