**The Role**:
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for transactional processing and effective management of the payroll and related employee functions of Southern Cross Care. The purpose of this position is to facilitate the meeting of organisational objectives and outcomes in the context of routine finance and office activities performed in a timely and accurate manner. The position is accountable and responsible in ensuring compliance with SCC Policies and procedures, relevant standards, relevant legislation, and accepted industry practices.

**This is a permanent full time position to be based at our head office in Epping NSW**

**As Payroll Officer, you will**:

- End to end processing of weekly payrolls
- Providing PIAWE calculation for workers’ comp claim, processing workers’ comp payment and assisting in workers’ comp reconciliation
- Interpreting timesheets according to SCC enterprise agreement and payroll policies
- Comply with all SCC policies and procedures in WHS, Workers Compensation and Return to Work
- Work cohesively as part of the team to reach the team’s key outcomes and objectives required by SCC
- Demonstrated competencies in payroll processing in health, aged care, not-for-profit payroll office environment or alternatively a high-volume transactional environment.
- Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
- Ability to problem solve, maintain task focus and detail oriented
- Excellent numerical ability and data entry skills
