Leisure Facilities Project Officer

Temporary full time or with flexible hours until 30 June 2026, Werribee based
- Salary from $101,297 plus super and a fortnightly RDO

**A bit about the role**

Wyndham City seeks an ambitious and motivated **Leisure Facilities Project Officer** to deliver industry leading project planning for the development of leisure services in one of Australia's fastest growing and diverse regions.

This is a unique opportunity to support the operation of Council’s Major Sporting and Recreation Facilities including AquaPulse, Eagle Stadium, Werribee South Caravan Park, Boat Ramp Facilities and Werribee Outdoor Pool.

Reporting to the Team Leader Leisure Facilities Management, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of staff across the organisation and our contract partners to ensure the effective management of Council’s network of leisure facilities to maximise community visitation and engagement. Across an allocated portfolio of projects, you will be responsible for undertaking the full scope of project planning, contract management and administration functions. Including governance and stakeholder management.

**What you will deliver**
- Full scope of project and contract management and administration functions to ensure that Council’s leisure assets are adequately maintained and preserved throughout their lifecycle
- Facilitate service planning and implementation, liaising closely with key Recreation staff, customers and stakeholders
- Supervision of Council’s leisure service contracts and agreements across a diverse portfolio; an Aquatic Centre, Outdoor Pool, Stadium, Motocross Track, Caravan Park, Tennis Centre and Boat Ramp
- Contribute to the implementation of an annual asset management planning cycle
- Delivery of an annual program of capital works
- Assist in the preparation of project briefs, specifications and tender documents as required.
- Support the planning for Wyndham’s next major indoor recreation facilities

**What you will bring**
- Demonstrated experience working in a health, fitness or leisure facility
- Extensive project management experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing innovative projects that encourage greater participation
- Practical experience in contract management and/or leisure facility management and operations
- Tertiary Degree in Recreation Management, Management, Business Management or an allied discipline, or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in contract interpretation and implementation ideally in the sport and recreation field
- Current Victorian drivers licence
