**The Opportunity**
As Program Lead for Transmission Lines, you’ll oversee training for our Transmission Lines workforce, including apprentices, trainees, and those completing the Certificate III in ESI - Transmission Overhead. You will ensure programs are compliant with national standards, technically accurate, and aligned with the needs of a workforce that plays a critical role in Australia’s energy future.
This is an opportunity to directly influence how our lines workforce is prepared for the future through embedding capability, safety, and professionalism into a team that literally keeps the power flowing across NSW and the ACT.
**Note**: This position can be based at multiple Transgrid locations, including Sydney, Tamworth, Newcastle, Orange, Wagga Wagga, and Yass
**A Day in the Life at Transgrid**
**In this role you’ll**:
- Design and implement training pathways for lines apprentices and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with national training requirements (Cert III ESI).
- Maintain training calendars, content, and audit readiness.
- Build strong relationships with industry to align training with emerging practices.
- Support succession planning by building a capable, future-ready workforce.
**About You**
You bring extensive experience in transmission line construction and maintenance, along with a strong interest in developing others. You understand the technical and safety demands of the role, and you know how to translate them into structured, practical training. You will bring:
- Extensive experience in transmission line work in the electricity sector.
- Certificate III ESI - Transmission Overhead and Certificate IV TAE.
- Demonstrated experience in program design and delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and industry partnerships.
