With over $4B of major projects to deliver in Queensland in the coming fifteen years, this newly created role will be a critical link between the development, capital delivery and construction teams.

The Commercial Manager will lead contractual negotiations and commercial activities for Walker’s Queensland business. It will be vital to have accumulated approx. 5 years experience in a similar role, working on major projects delivering both commercial construction and civil infrastructure outcomes.

Based on the Gold Coast, the Commercial Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

- Contract management - formation, review, gap analysis, risk evaluation and negotiation
- Commercial management - cost feasibility, project budget development, procurement and project delivery strategies
- Risk management - identify and classify project and business risk
- Financial management - cost advice, forecasting and detailed budget reporting
- People - lead, train and mentor staff and project teams with high levels of motivation and engagement
