**About the Role**:
Based at our Perth office, the People & Culture Coordinator will make part of the People and Culture team and provide the business with generalist HR support.
We aren’t necessarily looking for the right resume, we’re looking for the right _person_ who thrives in the people and culture profession.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintain employee records and files, including personnel files and information.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation of new employees, including processing new hire paperwork, liaising with incoming personnel, and conducting new employee orientations.
- Assist with employee remuneration administration, including onboarding, changes, and terminations.
- Filing and tracking of employee competencies, assisting to ensure employees have the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their job duties effectively.
- Maintain the HR inbox, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely manner, and ensuring all communications are tracked and categorised.
- Coordinate and schedule employee training and development programs.
- Assist the HR Advisor with employee relations issues and investigations.
- Assist with processing employee terminations, including benefits terminations and exit interviews and surveys.
- Drafting position descriptions, to ensure that they accurately reflect the requirements and duties of the role.
- Implement and facilitate employee events and activities, ensuring their smooth execution and maximising participation from all employees.
- Organise and maintain accurate records of employee Performance Development Review (PDR) information.
- Provide support and assistance to the human resources team and other departments as needed
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of employee learning and development information, including training completed, certifications, and skill development.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of Graduate and Junior Development programs, and providing support to participants throughout the program.
- Assist in coordinating and attending career and employment fairs.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with recruitment and phone screening from time to time.
- Carry out additional responsibilities and tasks as directed
**Essential Qualities and Background**
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a HR role.
- Knowledge of the Fair Work Act & National Employment Standards.
- Experience with employee records management and file maintenance.
- Understanding of concepts and practices related to employee training and development.
- Experience with coordinating employee performance evaluations.
- Demonstrated organisation skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team, as well as the ability to exercise independence and judgement when required.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience working in an engineering environment is desirable
- You are proactive, results-driven and you enjoy a fast paced work environment
