HSBC Australia is seeking a Reporting and Governance Manager to join the Chief Controls Team within the Wealth and Retail Business. This role reports into the Senior Manager Reporting and Governance, and is a newly created role which will bring together both Non-Financial Risk Reporting and Governance. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the co-ordination of the relevant risk management committees and forums as well as risk reporting into entity and Board Committees. The role is pivotal in ensuring assurance that Non-Financial Risk Reports are accurate, and completed within established timeframes, as well as the continuous improvement of Non-Financial Risk Governance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secretariat support and coordination of committees including management of agenda, preparation of paper, minutes and close tracking of actions
- Improving stakeholder awareness and visibility of risk and controls and translating that into reporting
- Support governance and reporting by linking risk management activities from across the Retail and Wealth Business
- Work with the business to develop and define strategic direction for strong governance and reporting
- Timely implementation of recommendations by internal/external auditors and external regulators
- Reporting analysis of current and emerging risks and trends using your practical understanding of risk and control taxonomies
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Practical understanding of risk and control framework
- Exceptional attention to detail, capable of interpreting, co-ordinating, communicating and responding to multiple requests with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Understand the fundamentals of Risk Management across the three lines of defence
- Willingness to see tasks through to completion and using initiative to solve problems
- University graduated preferably with a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
