**About the role.**

The Purpose of the Senior Consultant role will help in building technology and solutions to deliver NAB’s CIO Personal Banking & Digital. Provide technology based services incorporating strategy, design, development, test delivery and maintenance of technological solutions to meet business needs.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Developing, maintaining and supporting automation pipelines that enable safe deployment of change at scale using industry best practices.
- Support production & non-production environments.
- Work in an agile environment, attending stand-ups, retros, planning, showcases and other agile meetings and ceremonies.
- Work closely with Release Train Engineers, Principal Engineer, and Scrum teams to determine platform requirements and priorities.
- Resolve technical barriers and roadblocks impacting delivery teams.
- Contribute to the improvement of the Reliability and Resilience; drive the maturation of Service Reliability Engineering as a valued discipline in the NAB Technology Operating model.
- Provide technical leadership across technology choices and lead and mentor implementation of these best practices
- Developing and running miniapps/microservices in production (including UI, API and data components in a servless architecture)
- Provide leadership for building secure workloads collaborate with team members on security best practices
- Creation of and maintenance of deployment tooling, including scripts, monitoring, logging, CI/CD pipelines
- Building highly scalable and resilient technical solutions that enable rapid development and deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet product roadmap and user needs
- Continuous self development and learning to maintain knowledge of best practice and latest technology developments

**Experience**

***Must have**:

- Devops capabilities - including the experience in AWS and Azure, Linux Shell Scripting, Jenkins, Artifactory, Container technologies, Kubernetes, ECS, and Kafka - experience with consumption of information. not in creation;
- CD/CI experience with container-based Java micro-services/miniapps
**Preferred**:

- Experience with production workloads in public cloud
- Cloud provider certification (eg AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with key services (ie AWS - Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, Cloudtrail, CloudWatch, Route53, Cloudfront, Config rules)
- Serverless,Microservice,miniapps Patterns development
- Experience with OAuth and API security protocols
- Engineering CI/CD pipeline automation and tooling (Github, Jenkins, Artifcatory, CodeDeploy, Cloudformation)
- Jira/Confluence/Rally
