**About the Role**

It is an exciting time in the technology space at OnDeck Reporting to the COO, the Head of Technology will drive technology and digital capabilities to sustain and grow the business across Australia. We are currently in the process of localising our technology infrastructure, and this role will play a critical role in this journey.

Primary Responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement technology strategies/solutions that support the overall business goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key business functions (Ops, Marketing, Finance, Credit, Product, Data etc) to deliver on joint business plans/initiatives
- Drive technology efficiency across the business, ensuring technology solutions are scalable, secure and are performing optimally for business needs.
- Monitor technology KPIs to assess technological performance
- Maintain platforms and systems in a business-critical environment
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the technology team, production support with our SAAS provider and internal network team.
- Manage IT Functional directions, architecture, standards, compliance expectations, and priorities in business, and ensure alignment.
- Ensure that technology solutions align with OnDeck’s commitment to excellent customer service and experience.
- Manage relationships with external technology vendors and partners. This includes managing solution design, delivery and sustainment with partners and vendors to achieve optimum outcomes for the business.
- Partner with the Head of Data & Analytics to optimise our operating environment from a data infrastructure analytic and reporting perspective. This includes providing technical guidance where required on our platform solutions.
- Lead the technology team to effectively manage our networks and computer systems and ensure optimal performance

**What sets you apart**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of delivering effective Corporate technology solutions
- Broad-based IT background. Background in architecture desirable.
- Solid understanding and experience in security and risk
- Ability to flex - you’ll be having a strategic discussion one minute, then need to flex and roll up your sleeves to help the team achieve a goal
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including those in the USA
- Fintech or Financial services experience desirable but not essential
